  • Our eggs are sold by the dozen in Moose Run Farm cartons. If you are interested in purchasing eggs from us, either occasionally or on a regular basis, please contact us.

Our chickens live an ideal life, and are rotationally grazed during the entire growing season, providing them with daily opportunities to glean vital nutrients and vitamins. They are also provided with the highest quality supplemental grain and fresh running water.

During the winter, our chickens continue to spend time outdoors and are given baled hay over the frozen ground and snow. This means they have year-round access to the vital elements of the summer pasture grasses in their diet.

We raise several different varieties of egg layers, including Whiting True Blues, True Greens, Olive Eggers, and White Leghorns, which results in a visually beautiful dozen of multi-colored eggs!

  • We love raising our turkeys, and we believe we raise the most tasty and nutritious turkeys in the state of New Hampshire!

These delicious, juicy and tender pasture raised turkeys are a special tradition in our family, and we are excited to have the ability to offer it to your family as well. We encourage you to contact us early to reserve your turkey as we have limited numbers available each season.

As soon as the turkey poults are old enough to be out of the brooder pens, they’re raised on pasture. We raise them in a large mobile coop that is built on a hay wagon, allowing us to move them easily on the uneven and hilly pastures while ensuring shelter and a constant supply of fresh water.

Our turkeys are rotationally grazed through our Christmas tree plots, where a large percent of their daily diet consists of fresh green forage growth. Not only do they mow around the Christmas trees for us (eliminating the use of herbicides or mowers) but they also love the shade and protection that the trees naturally provide. They consume many acres of forage during the summer, which results in healthy, happy, and strong turkeys.

We have a variety of sizes available every year, and strive to make sure you get the right turkey for your needs. If you are interested in ordering a fresh, unfrozen, professionally packaged and ready to cook turkey from Moose Run Farm, please contact us.

  • At Moose Run Farm, we believe instinctively grazing, herding animals are happiest when they are grazing in a herd!

It is our passion to raise livestock that are happy, comfortable, and thriving in a holistic environment. Our steers are raised with love, attention and care from birth until market weight.

During the growing season, our steers are rotationally grazed through the hilly green pastures of Washington, NH, where a variety of grasses, clovers, and legumes abound. Rotational grazing is the best way to provide consistent healthy forage for ruminant animals to consume, and most closely matches the nomadic instincts that are innate in herding livestock—moving from pasture to pasture and finding new growth while allowing the pasture they just left to regenerate. This method of grazing encourages strong root systems in the soil, provides unparalleled nutrition and forage quality for the livestock, and makes for happier steers.

When water lines begin to freeze in the late fall, our steers return from pasture to a wintering paddock where they are provided a constant supply of fresh water, shelter from the elements, and preserved hay forage from the pastures they graze on during the growing season, along with room to run around and play in the snow. We believe that our small herd size allows us to provide the highest level of attention and care to our livestock, and our beautiful pastures and strong steers are proof that our aggressive pasturing methods are worth the many hours of work!

We never process steers during or immediately after wintering; all of our steers are processed during or after the pasture season. All our beef processing is professionally done by a USDA certified packing house here in New Hampshire. If you are interested in buying a whole, half, quarter, or individual cuts of our pasture raised beef, please contact us.

  • Christmas Trees were the original product offered by Moose Run Farm. What started as a bored afternoon trip to New Hampshire’s State Nursery one rainy April afternoon in 2013 has grown into a vibrant and important crop for us.

Not only do our Christmas Trees thrive in the often wet and cool weather conditions that are common on our farm, but they also provide invaluable forage opportunities and shelter for our poultry.

Our Christmas trees benefit greatly from the abundant spring rains and nitrogen rich poultry manure that fertilizes the trees during the spring, summer, and fall months. We individually hand prune every tree each year, ensuring the classic conical shape of a traditional Christmas tree, and making sure there are plenty of strong branches for hanging ornaments, lights and candy canes.

We grow mostly Canaan Fir, which is visually very similar to a Frasier Fir and is known for its full shape, excellent needle retention, and deep evergreen color.

Each spring, we replant any trees that were harvested the previous holiday season, continuing the pattern of regeneration that is so important to us here at Moose Run Farm.

If you would like to cut your own locally grown Christmas tree, please contact us. We are open many days of the week leading up to Christmas, but still ask that you make an appointment to come cut your tree. We would love to provide the perfect tree for your home this holiday season!

  • At Moose Run Farm, we believe healthy soils and pastures are the key to our farm being successful. We put many hours of work and effort into ensuring our pastures are as productive, balanced, and fertile as they can be. We produce feed for our own animals, and every bale is rolled with care and attention to detail, as we are making hay for our livestock and only sell extra we do not need.

As a small farm, we know what an investment it can be to buy hay for the winter months. We also know how frustrating and financially straining it is when you invest in feed that is poor quality or is unpalatable to your livestock.

Our promise to you is that every bale we sell is made with care, stored appropriately, and advertised honestly.

In keeping with that promise, we offer YouTube videos of each day our bales are made, and the identification number painted on the bales is advertised in the video. By accessing the YouTube video you can see the hay being made, you can ensure the quality of the hay yourself, and you can buy Moose Run Farm bales with confidence.

We offer 4x4 bales, wrapped for outdoor storage, silage and dry. Our bales are mixed grasses with significant amount of clover. We are able to deliver hay, 6 to 8 bales at a time, with reasonable delivery costs that vary based on the location of your farm and distance from us.

Please contact us for more information or to order hay and check availability.
