About Moose Run Farm
We believe that farms grow strong families, strong families grow strong communities, & strong communities grow a strong country!
In 2022, Moose Run Farm LLC was born out of a dream and an opportunity.
The dream is that despite the many challenges, we can successfully support ourselves through renewable, responsible agriculture, by working hard with our own hands, treating our customers like family, and most importantly treating our animals with love and the environment with respect.
The opportunity is grounded in the rugged terrain of Washington, NH where the rolling hill pastures historically supported herds of sheep. This town and land is not only our home, but it is where our dream of starting a farm together has taken literal roots.
What started out as a backyard chicken coop and 6 hens has grown into a viable small farm offering pasture raised eggs, turkeys, beef, Christmas Trees, and hay crops.
We believe there is a need to get back to shorter supply chains, local family farms, and the type of personal care and attention that yields the highest quality products and crops.
It’s beneficial to the community that we bring back the viability of small family farms and revitalize them as an essential thread in the fabric of the state of New Hampshire.
We prioritize animal and herd health, and are passionate about finding symbiotic relationships that exist between livestock and the environment in nature, capitalizing on them to raise happy and healthy herds and flocks.
We believe medications, hormones, and supplements frequently used to augment animal growth are a poor substitute for raising livestock as they were designed to be raised; on healthy pastures and with natural nutrients.
